It may be true that the president of Iran is not serious when making statements about wiping Israel off the map. However, I think that Iran's leadership must learn there are serious consequences to such statements. If the president is not ready to accept those consequences, then he should restate his position, or explain why his position should not be taken seriously. Alternatively, the Iranian people should throw him out of office if they don't like the direction he is taking their country.
